Wheel balancing, or tyre balancing, helps to create an equal balance of weight between the tyre and wheel assembly. This ensures a smooth spin at high speeds. We balance wheels by placing the wheel assembly on a balancer, this centres the wheel and spins it to determine where the weights should go.

Wheels and tyres aren’t exactly the same weight all around. The stem hole usually subtracts a small amount of weight from one side and slight deviations in the shape of the tyre cause imbalances. Even the smallest of imbalances can be clearly felt when travelling at high speeds. If the wheels are off balance, it can cause vibrations in the car.
